Galerie Vollard, Paris, Les Peintres-Graveurs, June 15–July 20, 1896.
This exhibition of 198 works inaugurated Vollard's 6, rue Laffitte gallery. The opening event of the new and more spacious premises was accompanied with the launch of Vollard's large-scale edition of the Album des peintres-graveurs. In collaboration with the highly skilled printer Auguste Clot, he offered a portfolio of twenty two plates in an edition of 100.
The list of works shown was published in L'Estampe, June 21, 1896, of which a copy with annotations by Camille Pissarro is held at the Bibliothèque nationale de France, Cabinet des Estampes. Catalogue no. 41 was an etching titled "Paysage" by Cezanne. (exhibition brochure).
