Notes
After her marriage to Cézanne in April 1886, Hortense Fiquet and Paul junior lived in Aix at 10bis Cours Sextius until the end of 1887; the artist lived at the Jas de Bouffan with his mother. This portrait was executed at the Jas de Bouffan. The same panelling in the background of Portrait d'Henri Gasquet, 1896 (522).
