Notes
This is a fragment of a large mural that was originally part of a large landscape painted by Cezanne on the wall of the salon at the Jas de Bouffan. See no. 6 for the entire right section of the mural and no. 900 for the powerful male nude painted over the original landscape.
The nude was removed from the wall in 1912; this work and no. 6 were removed and sold at auction in 1960.
