This sketchbook is bound and the page numbers are written in Roman numerals on the "a" (recto) side of the sheet at bottom right. The notation "LIIIIx2" on the inside back cover indicates that the sketchbook originally contained fifty-four sheets. However, pages XLI to XLVIII have since been removed.
