The kneeling woman is a study for the servant in the watercolor of Bathsheba (FWN1873).

In the upper left corner a stamp (barely visible):  Dépôt Bodmer / Barbizon (S.-&-M., 4f.90), indicating the sketchbook supplier.The name Bodmer was also written in the carnet violet moiré (FWN3000-07a).
