The motif here is the same as in FWN88.
Ratcliffe detected vertical tears in the canvas, that had been skillfully restored.
Rewald (1996, p. 168) noted that the brushstrokes in this painting are more like those used before he worked in Auvers-sur-Oise and, hence the date adopted here.
Cézanne fils standing in front of Nature morte, 1892–94 and Bosquet au Jas de Bouffan, c.1871; he sold the still life in order to pay for his daughter Aline's wedding.
