Notes

The figure of the laborer is related to FWN104; the legs of the man are associated with the figure of the man seen from behind, taken from Raimondi's engraving after Michelangelo's three figures from The Battle of Cascina. The sketchy landscape includes a house, sunken road, boulders and a tree and another continues onto the once attached sheet. See also comments for FWN2254.
