Notes

Cézanne fils confused the Bellevue estate with Montbriand. Maxime Conil, the artist's brother-in-law, bought the estate of Bellevue in 1885. Rewald contends that Cézanne knew of this property before 1885 because it is near the Jas de Bouffan.
